Twitter users want an edit button
Folks on the Twitter really want that edit button, now. Ever since Twitter came out in September of this year and said they were trying out the 280 word limit, folks let it be known that an edit button is what they really want.
Why Twitter decided to give folks more room to tweet nonsense, I don’t know. But I do know that the 140 character word limit was excellent.
It forced folks to think on their feet and to use as little words as possible when communicating their points to others.
Humans don’t do too well with long sentences. You’ve usually loss folks by time you get on the third sentence.
And oh Lawd help you if you have several paragraphs. Folks in general have a very short attention span. That’s why those GIFs and 140 character word limit was so good. It helped to keep folks attention.
The GIFs are still there, but the 140 word character limit is not. Now, I must admit, I have used the 280 word character limit; but, not as much.
In fact, I’m going back to the 140 word character limit. I liked it better.
Check out the tweets below of what other folks had to say about the 280 word limit.
